This La Blogotheque film “Out Among the Stars”, starring The Killer’s Brandon Flowers, Father John Misty, and Local Natives, the common thread is both Johnny Cash’ music as well as the heavily-worn truck. Visually, we strived for a gritty, rusted-out, almost Dustbowl-type look with the color grading. Some shots were tricky, especially Father John Misty, because not only was it shot right at magic hour, but the sunlight was also fading quickly as shown in the before and after.
